That hub/nut thingy that goes on top of the spare wheel in the Airfix kit seems to be completely bogus. Reference pics are hard to find but you will get the gist of how it should look here:
http://troopofshewe.blogspot.com.au/2011/06/kitchen-table-update-warlord-morris-gun.html

Cheers,
DaveDaveMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05707036473168150957noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2999134954806687237.post-40435617946596364402016-07-04T07:38:14.838-07:002016-07-04T07:38:14.838-07:00Cheers Dave. Looks like I'm going to have to be inventive with a bit of sprue or such like.
Must admit I was surprised that the barrel of the gun is in two halves - lengthways, seems a very odd way to do it.Andy's Painting Bureauhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00860516962954465157noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2999134954806687237.post-30437265861800799012016-07-04T07:34:26.165-07:002016-07-04T07:34:26.165-07:00Hope to do better in the next couple of weeks and ...Hope to do better in the next couple of weeks and at least get it masked up and primed.Andy's Painting Bureauhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00860516962954465157noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2999134954806687237.post-10615878595458686582016-07-04T07:33:44.755-07:002016-07-04T07:33:44.755-07:00You can say that again Ray ;-)You can say that again Ray ;-)Andy's Painting Bureauhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00860516962954465157noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2999134954806687237.post-23113073918547419142016-07-03T19:09:29.831-07:002016-07-03T19:09:29.831-07:00I saw on TMP you were asking about the Airfix Quad...I saw on TMP you were asking about the Airfix Quad. As another recent "victim" of this kit, here is the advice I gave to another TMPer:

I recently assembled 2x Airfix 25pdrs and limbers and they are basic but went together fine. I already had enough Quads but just for the heck of it I also assembled one of these.

I must say, the fit was pretty awful. Can't remember whether it was always so or if the moulds have worn badly. I would recommend "dry" fitting everything on the Quad part of the kit and adjusting accordingly before gluing. Also note that the centre strut of the windshield also needs to be extended as it won't meet the bonnet – this was always a problem with the kit – and is best done before attaching the roof.

HTH,
DaveDaveMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05707036473168150957noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2999134954806687237.post-64553470485870113482016-07-03T11:13:59.982-07:002016-07-03T11:13:59.982-07:00Looks like you've been busy.Looks like you've been busy.Ray Rousellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07352596392520905197noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2999134954806687237.post-7890559245387821372016-07-03T11:13:53.230-07:002016-07-03T11:13:53.230-07:00Looks like you've been busy.Looks like you've been busy.Ray Rousellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07352596392520905197noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2999134954806687237.post-66793944078133377432016-07-03T05:06:41.357-07:002016-07-03T05:06:41.357-07:00Nice gifts!
